Murder Game, book 7 in Christine Feehan's GhostWalker series, is the story of Kadan Montague and Tansy Meadows. Psychically and genetically enhanced Special Forces soldier (aka GhostWalker) Kadan Montague, is on the trail of a band of serial killers. Part of a sick "murder game," these killers work to implicate the GhostWalkers in their crimes, in an effort to eliminate the super-soldiers. Kadan needs the help of powerful psychic Tansy Meadows if he wants to clear his fellow team-members of murder, but will they be able to survive each other long enough to find the real killers?

I'd been waiting to read Kadan's story since the beginning of the series, and it did not disappoint. Murder Game is chocked full of intrigue, mystery, and adventure, and leaves the reader excited for the next installment. The research that must go into these books is astonishing, making for a very readable, "real" story. The suspense was honest and authentic throughout the book, creating an absorbing web, easy for the reader to lose herself in.

The plot, aside from the usual Whitney-looking-for-the-GhostWalkers-and-girls-for-his-breeding-program schpeel, was gripping from the first page. I enjoyed tracking the killers along with Tansy and Kadan - riddling out the pieces in this Murder Game.

As always in the GhostWalker series, the characters are commanding and entertaining. Kadan, the GhostWalker with ice in his veins, has certainly met his true match in Tansy. She is a strong, determined woman, not afraid to push back when Kadan tries to get her to submit to his will. I also loved that Christine Feehan brought back several of my "old favorites" - characters from other GhostWalker books like Ryland, Gator, Nico, Ian and Tucker. The parts where the guys razzed Kadan had me laughing out loud - Feehan really knows how to interject humour into her books!

In her GhostWalker series, Christine Feehan weaves complex relationships together with exceptional stories. I can't wait to read the next installment, but alas, I have no choice - book 8 doesn't come out until the end of the year. I'm sure I'll be able to find something to read in the meantime though - the seventh book in the Drake Sisters series comes out tomorrow... ( )

As some of you might already know, I love this series, so it probably isn’t too hard to know what I think of the book in general. :-) Loved it. Now if its possible, I want to contradict myself here. I loved this book but at the same time was disappointed. I had a few issues with it. One of which I find kind of funny and wasn’t expecting to even want to say this. But, for me personally there was way too much time spent with the couple simply having sex. The conflict which is supposed to grow and be closer to being solved with these moments actually seemed to be taken care way before the end. Which is fine in essence to me as there was plenty of other things going but it seemed to me that since she (Christine)wanted to keep having them do the sheet tango, the conflicts on this end were repeated, repeatedly. I actually found myself skimming those parts near the end to find out what was going on that was new to the other stuff going on. I loved the story, the plot and the characters. I loved that characters from the older books had active parts in this one. I loved the way she had the two main characters stay true to who they were even if they weren’t all rosy personalities. As usual, I can’t wait for the next book in this series to come out. ( )

The latest in her Ghostwalkers series. I don't know if the series is going a little stale for me, personally, or if this book is just not quite up to par. Somehow it was less satisfactory than the others in the series and didn't seem to move the overall story of the Ghostwalkers forward very much. Not sorry I read it but in a reread of the series this one could probably be skipped.

Feehan at her best, eventhought some concept of this book, reminds me of her Dark serie. She should be careful, about mixing them. ( )

As a fan of this series I was dissappointed in this book. Like others in the series, this book focuses on the pairing between Kaden aGhostwalker and Tansy, a psychic tracker of serial killers. The plot was interesting, especially toward the end as things unravel, but like so many of Feehans more recent works, the story takes a back seat to the lengthy over the top sex scenes. I found myself skipping over tens of pages just to get past the ridiculous details and never ending physical descriptions of sex. This may well be the last in the series for me. Having already given up on the Carpathian books I don't have much left. ( )

Book description
Kadan Montague - a genetically enhanced warrior - is called back from an important assignment in Europe to investigate a series of brutal murders. The suspect is a fellow GhostWalker and, if he isn't found, the entire GhostWalker program will be swept under the carpet, putting the lives of Kadan and all other GhostWalkers in jeopardy. Kadan turns to Tansy Meadows, an elite tracker, to help him hunt down the killer before he can strike again. Tansy's last job landed her in a hospital for six months but Kadan has no choice but to bring her on board. And he soon finds that with Tansy comes an entirely new set of problems.
