Six agents have been brought together in order to take down the Archer, a rogue agent who seems bent on destroying the Organization. As these six men get to know each other, friendships grow and betrayals threaten to tear them apart. This book absolutely wore me out. I couldn't put it down, but I finally had to around 4:00 a.m. Roux gives us six unique characters to follow, and they each bring both revelation and confusion. They run the gamut from communications experts to assassins to a guy who just "likes to blow shit up." They are insane, and they don't deny it. The twists and turns in the plot keep the characters and the readers on their toes. I thought I had the archer figured out a couple of times, but I was wrong. All in all, if you love a good secret agent thriller, I highly recommend this one.I would have given it five stars except for two things:1. Lack of condoms! These guys are super secret agents trained to use any means necessary including seduction. At one point one character actually asks another if a third characters "come" is still in his ass as he takes him. I'm sorry, but if you know how to make a bomb out of a pine cone, surely you know that you ought to be using condoms. 2. I need more! Even though this book is over 500 pages, I still need to know more about what happens to these guys. I am going to assume that Roux has a sequel or two planned. ( )

Book description

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0981508480, Paperback)

Rocked to the core by traitors and spies, the Organization made an unprecedented move in bringing together six highly trained men to track down one rogue wolf: The Archer.

There are three field agents: one at the top of his game, one hoping to retire, and another walking the line; a cold-blooded assassin who can use any weapon known to man; a demolitions expert who can't resist the allure of fire; and a computer hacker with more tricks in his mouse than Houdini. This team is made up of the best of the best, and if it can't succeed in this impossible mission, no one can. But no plan survives first contact with the enemy - especially when you can't even find out who he is!

Despite what a cluster the assignment is from the start, the six men try to get their act together to track down the rogue operative, and in the process they discover there's more to life than the next assignment. Now it's up to them to survive by working together and determining who the real traitor is: an unknown friend, a close-by enemy, or the Organization itself.
