I am listening to Born in Death and reading Julie and Julia. Like them both very much so far.
... Divided In Death, 127. Visions In Death, 128. Survivor In Death, 129. Origin In Death, 130. Memory In Death, 131. Born In Death , 131. Innocent In Death, 132. Creation In Death, 133. Strangers In Death, 134. Salvation In Death, 135. Promises In Death, and 136. Three In Death.
... bonding scene over Xmas in Memory in Death and I loved the little girl in Survivor in Death. But the homicide plots in Born in Death and Origin in Death were too fantastical or head-scratching.
With Accordion Crimes, I'm just reading a few pages here and there between my other books. I ...
54. Born in Death by J.D. Robb
Just finished Lady of Desire by Gaelen Foley. Loved it. I just started Born in Death by Nora Roberts for a change of pace. I like her In Death series but have not read one for a while.
Just finished Lady of Desire by Gaelen Foley. Loved it. I just started Born in Death by Nora Roberts for a change of pace. I like her In Death series but have not read one for a while.
23. Deadly Caress by Brenda Joyce Dworman
24. Born in Death by J.D. Robb
25. Tapas on the Ramblas by Anthony Bidulka
26. All About the Passion by Stephanie Laurens
I was reaching for a can of soup and Born in Death by JD Robb fell on me! Don't ask me what it was doing in my pantry by the soup cans ... but I'm taking it as a sign that it's the next book I'm to read and so I started it last night.
I enjoy her 'In Death' books and I think I've read almost ...
... it later this year or the beginning of next year -- a legitimate excuse, right?
Two remaindered bargains hardcover:
Born in Death by J.D. Robb: I am reading these in order and am on # 13 (waiting for me from the library as we speak!) and this is #23, but when I see one I haven't read ...
... of the two.
Anyway, while I was there, I picked up the following:
Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper by Fuchsia Dunlop
Born in Death by J.D. Robb
The Wednesday Letters by Jason Wright
Sophie's World by Jostein Gaarder
The Teardrop Story Woman by Catherine Lim
Mozart's Sister by R ...
... Coetzee - I had never read any of Coetzee's work before and will definitely be on the look out for it in future
195. Born in Death by J.D. Robb
196. Dreamers of the Day by Mary Doria Russell - none of her subsequent books have lived up to The Sparrow, IMHO, although they ...
60. Born in Death , Nora Roberts, 2006

... Evanovich
21. The Lost Madonna by Kelly Jones
22. Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark
23. Born in Death by J.D. Robb
There may have been a few more "grocery store books" -- I can think of several that I read, but it might have been in 2006 -- so I'll just ...
... first was okay, the other two ho-hum.
16. Grave Surprise by Charlaine Harris (3-1/2 stars) - Predictable but fun.
17. Born in Death by J.D. Robb - (3 stars) There's a mystery here, but I pretty much figured it out before I was halfway through. Thus the 3 star rating. BUT, for the romance, ...
... - I want to read them ALL NOW!!! LOL
So current reads this week have been (and this is very busy reading for me):
Born in Death
Innocent in Death
Vengeance in Death
Forget Me Not by Isabel Wolff
And I started Loyalty in Death this morning - can't wait to get back to ...
... Some of the stuff that happened in it were in the same timeframe, but from a different character's perspective.
7. Born In Death by J.D. Robb
I love this series. I like the characters and the mysteries are interesting. Fluff reading.
8. The Year's Best Science Fiction: 2005 ...
... D. Robb otherwise known as Nora Roberts The series is something In Death such as a couple are Naked in Death and Born in Death .
A couple of lesser known series I have enjoyed are byJudy Mercer. Double Take is the first one.
I also like Robert W. Walker His character is ...
Finished Born in Death last night, which was a 3 out of 5 for the mystery and a 5 out of 5 for the romance and humor and relationships between the characters, and immediately started Food for the Fishes by David Wishart, another Corvinus mystery set in ancient Rome which has started out ...
#39 Start with the first one, CC! I think it's Naked in Death. Really! If you start with Born in Death , you won't get the full effect of all the little hints that are dropped about past events or the nuances of the various relationships, esp. the one between Eve and Roarke.
Started Born in Death last night on the commute home and stayed up really late to read "just one more chapter." ;D I'm almost halfway through it.
I really like the Eve Dallas/Roarke mysteries, and this one is so far right up there with the best of them!
Edited to add that within the first ...
... somewhat predictable (unless the last 3 pages includes a really wild twist). Still, I enjoy her paranormals. Next up: Born in Death by J.D. Robb. More Roarke. Yum. Then A Spot of Bother by Mark Haddon. (Touchstones a bit tetchy tonight.)
... doesn't work. I didn't have the patience to fix it after putting this all down...
Feb 2007
20 Innocent in Death by J.D. Robb
27 Writ on Water by Melanie Jackson
27 Tempting Evil by Keri Arthur
27 Games of Command by Linnea Sinclair (I know it's scifi, but they usually ...
The latest Eve Dallas I read was Divided in Death, so I hope I'm not too behind. Was Born in Death as good as the rest?
I read some reviews of Morrigan's Cross and it seems it's one of those love it/hate it kinda book. I'm not that into vampire romance, so maybe it's not for me?
... Sanctuary.
I just finished Gathering Blue, Messenger, and Gossamer by Lois Lowry, and I'm currently finishing Born in Death by J. D. Robb. Next is The Burning Girl by Holly Phillips.
JC,
Yes, I read all of the Eve Dallas books. I'm currently finishing Born in Death , her latest. It's quite good. I like the way she's able to sustain the relationship between Eve and Roarke without becoming stale.
If you want to try her magic stuff, try her latest, Morrigan's Cross, Book 1 ...
I agree with Linkmeister - I'd be Eve Dallas J.D. Robb or Stephanie Plum Janet Evanovich.
Re 263:
For those that like the 'In Death' books Born in Death is similar to the others and we see the characters moving forward in their lives. I enjoyed it but I'm trying to avoid saying too much!
... and Flowers from the Storm. Maybe Fantasy Lover by Kenyon.
I'm also thinking of picking up the latest J.D. Robb Born in Death .
Glad to find some fellow RS readers. I'm currently reading the new J. D. Robb Born in Death . Going to the bookstore Sat. to find Drop Dead Gorgeous by Linda Howard.
DB - If you love Brockmann, you might want to try Gennita Low & Marliss Melton. They both write navy ...
I'm currently reading J. D. Robb 's Born in Death and as soon as I can get to the bookstore & get my hot little hands on it, I'll be reading Linda Howard's Drop Dead Gorgeous.
bookbeat
... feeling very virtuous and then at our next stop (Wal-Marts) as I walked by the small book section I picked up a new copy of Born in Death for $17.34 + tax. A nice discount but it still put a crimp in my almost non-existent book budget.
