I loved Aylesworth's The Mitten so when I came across this at the library I grabbed it. It's perfect for reading aloud, even though your little one will probably ask for it over and over again. Teaches counting up to twelve, which is also good, as most picture-books, ime, go only to ten. Can also be used to give a first idea of teaching time, because there is a clock illustrated for each hour. ( )

Rhyming, and learn the hours on the clock (K skill) with little effort. A fun and silly read. ( )
