Ships to the Stars is actually a collection of short stories by Leiber. In order:

Dr. Kometevsky's Day (1952)
The Big Trek (1957)
The Enchanted Forest (1950)
Deadly Moon (1960)
The Snowbank Orbit (1962)
The Ship Sails at Midnight (1950)

My favorite in that is the last one, but they're all worth a second look. Maybe even a third.

The Million Year Hunt is one of Bulmer's better works, and worthy of reading. ( )

Okay, you don't get more romantic than an alien symbiote trying to find its long lost love that is inhabiting the body of its host's worst enemy...
