Irritatingly clunky rhyme but big sturdy flaps make it a good book for a toddler to entertain themselves with. ( )

Yawn Like a Hippo is a fun book for preschool age children. The book has colorful pictures and cute rhymes for each animal on each page. The book also has flaps children can lift to see the animals. I would strongly encourage preschool teachers to read this book with their students. ( )

Amazon.com Product Description (ISBN 0764154796, Board book)

This brightly illustrated lift-the-flap animal guessing game takes kids out to the jungle, to find all kinds of wild animals that appear from behind flaps. For example, "Stomp!" is followed by the question "His trunk is long, his body's round. Who's this stomping on the ground?" Toddlers lift the flap, and out of the jungle grass appears a huge, friendly elephant! They'll find a lift-the-flap quiz with a different animal on every one of the twelve full-color two-page spreads, including a monkey, a crocodile, a parrot, and others. But first, kids must hear each rhyme and try to guess who they're going to find.

This lift-the-flap book shows jungle animals under the flaps to answer the questions.
