Not only Raven pretends to be a vampire bonded to Alexander for eternity she is now acting as Nancy Drew while looking for the hidden lair of the nefarious Maxwell twins. Arch-enemy Trevor got entangled in this vampire revenge, Luna- vampire teen who got stood up by the altar was planning to take Trevor as his mate. Or is that really the plan? Once again join Raven and her cohorts in this enjoyable read. I wish that Schreiber would let at least one other mortal character finds out that Alexander is indeed a child of the night so Raven won't be burdened with all the secrets. ( )I am reviewing the book, "Vampireville" by: Ellen Schreiber. I chose to read this book because it is the third book in the Vampire Kisses series; which is what I am curently reading. I really enjoyed it. I thought the idea of twin vampires was really cool. (For yous who don't know, I am talking about Jagger and Luna Maxwell.) It was creative. I also thought it was scary when Luna started talking to Raven about being a vampire. I thought this because Raven was lying, and is not really a vampire. But Luna is, and she could attack, and possibly kill her. I also feel really sorry for her friend Becky, because Raven is not telling her that her boyfriend is indeed a vampire. I really liked this book. It didn't meet my expectations. It didn't because I didn't think Jagger would have a twin sister. He does. I also didn't expect Luna to be Alexander's ex-girlfriend. That was just weird! So I enjoyed the twists, and the whole book itself. Reviewed by Andie Z. for TeensReadToo.com VAMPIREVILLE follows right on the heels of its predecessors, and it is strongly recommended that the previous books in the series, VAMPIRE KISSES and KISSING COFFINS, be read first, otherwise things will not make sense and you're sure to be confused and unable to fully enjoy the story. Alexander Sterling is back in "Dullsville," and Raven couldn't be happier about that. However, Jagger and his twin sister, Luna, are also hanging around, which is the reason why Raven has started carrying garlic in her purse. To make matters worse, now that Luna has been turned into a vampire, she's on the search for her true love, and she's convinced she's found him in Trevor. Trevor may have been Raven's arch nemesis since kindergarten, but that doesn't mean that she wants him to fall victim to Luna's charms. Not to mention her fangs. So Raven takes it upon herself to protect Trevor--after all, the last thing "Dullsville" needs is a vampire-Trevor! Raven is also trying to deal with having a nocturnal boyfriend. She mourns the loss of Alexander's company during the day, just as she despises the school that prevents her from being able to keep the same hours as he does. The time they do have together is spent searching cemeteries and other spooky deserted areas for Jagger and Luna's hideout, determined to drive them away before they turn "Dullsville" into someplace infinitely less dull--"Vampireville." VAMPIREVILLE is a fun continuation of the VAMPIRE KISSES series, and will definitely leave readers eagerly awaiting the fourth book, DANCE WITH A VAMPIRE. The writing and storyline doesn't quite live up to some of the other young adult books in this genre, but it is nevertheless an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Can Raven stop Dullsville from becoming Vampireville?
For goth-girl Raven, dating her dream boyfriend is complicated, especially because Alexander's secret means they can only meet at night. And now they must be extra wary, with Alexander's archrival, Jagger, creeping around town. Then Jagger's exquisitely pale sister Luna also surfaces—and seems to have her sights on Raven's own longtime nemesis.
