Book description
The Paterson family was tired to death of being poor, and none of them more so than Muriel. Muriel, however, had one outstanding advantage-her looks; and her relatives managed to persuade her that she had a duty to cash in on them and, for all their sakes, find a rich husband. An invitation from an aunt to accompany her on a cruise provided Muriel with the opportunity; and as soon as she met him Muriel fixed on Andrew Burke as the "lucky man" for her. Unfortunately, however, Andrew got wind of the plot and promised himself he would teach her a lesson. It looked as though Muriel's clever schemes were going to rebound on her-or did it?
