Summary: "Jack and the Beanstalk" is a book about a little boy named Jack who sells his cow who producing milk anymore. Instead of getting money he gets beans and his mom gets angry and throw them out of the window. The beans grow a giant beanstalk and so Jack climbs it and finds gold. Turns out a giant lives up there and he tries to catch Jack but can't. Jack and his mom cut down the beanstalk, Jack buys his cow back and his mom buys a hot air balloon.

Personal Reaction: I really liked this book because it is another story I grew up reading. I like how it rhymes and I like the illustration in it.

Classroom Extension Ideas:
1.Make a giant beanstalk out of a paper towel roll, glue a paper plate on top and put a house on top of the plate.
2.Give the children their own been seeds so they can watch them sprout. ( )
