Janey is trying to settle into life back in her hometown and get to know her big brother Natches. She's also trying to recover from the horrible incident that left her nearly dead, her wicked father and demented aunt thankfully dead, and her brother Natches injured. She's also trying to get over her infatuation of several years standing with Maj Alex Jansen, the man who rescued her, protected her, and the star of her increasingly erotic dreams since she was seventeen years old. But things in her hometown apparently aren't as settled as they seem...Janey has a stalker. And with the stalker becoming more and more violent, she'll have to decide whether to run, or stay and fight.
Alex knows he's too old, too experienced, and just too dark for Janey. But no matter how many times he tells himself that, it just doesn't seem to matter. So he's back in town to figure this out for good. And when he finds out about Janey's stalker? Well, let's just say Alex has some unique ways of ensuring Janey's compliance.
Leigh's latest will singe your fingers as you rip through the pages as fast as you can go. Did I figure out who the wacko was fairly early? Why yes I did. Did that affect my enjoyment of this story? Absolutely not. The joy in reading Lora Leigh (at least for me) is the lengths her heroes are willing to go to in order to claim and keep their heroine safe. Their love wouldn't be for everyone, but by God, a woman would know without a doubt how her man felt...once they managed to do something with their mouth that didn't involve sex, orders, or grunting! If graphic descriptions of wild sex offend you...don't read this book. If they turn you on...don't miss it. (
