Somewhat belatedly - I thoroughly enjoyed In a Glass darkly if you have a certain type of mind - which clearly I have - you`ll like this - I think it`s quite unique. You should certainly try it.

so nick, whats your view on this list if you have any, or can you ... Le Fanu's famous vampire story is Carmilla, and can be found in In A Glass Darkly, which is available for free on various places on the web, or as a cheap classic. Stoker was heavily indebted to Le Fanu's tale.
