    The Elements of The I Ching by Stephen Karcher (jadler)
    jadler: Rudolf Ritsema and Stephen Karcher worked together with the first edition of the vast and massive translation/interpretation with concordance (1994, ISBN 1852305363, LT work 5692112). For the next edition Ritsema chose not to work with Karcher, and managed to improve on what I considered the ultimate English I Ching. Ritsema's brick of a book is invaluable for in depth studies and personal interpretations, but I often find that Karcher's 'Elements of I Ching' manages to give a surprisingly "correct" image that fits the situation I have described, a short and straight forward description of the situation. I find that these two books complement each other. I have several other books on I Ching, but when it comes down to it, these two are the most used ones.… (more)
