This is an accounting of the year to year happenings in the BBC show of Doctor Who. It chronicles the major cast changes, production innovations, and public reception and perception of the show. There are many illustrations, and some photos during the first 20 years of the show. Although interesting, I wish it had dwelt more on the storylines and characters of the stories. It was kind of interesting to read about the controversies it raised in its early years with all the "violence" and "frightening" scenes. Considering the modern shows, the old ones seem so tame! ( )
