( )This book by Frank Asch would be suitable for 1st or 2nd graders. The book is about a turtle that is headed to a pond but an apple falls on this head. He decides to keep his head tucked into his shell but he keeps falling into things. He then comes to the pond and drinks some water and decides to sun bathe on a rock. A fox comes and wants to eat Turtle but he quickly tucks his head back into his shell! A very cute story about a young turtle who can't decide whether it would be best to keep his head in his shell or leave it out. The young turtle just wants to do what any wise turtle would do. After a series of events the turtle finds a happy-medium and learns to be a wise turtle. One morning on the way to the pond an apple fell on Turtle's head. no reviews | add a review
