Actually not science fiction at all, this psychological mystery by sf's uber-maestro set in the early years of television, in the pre-LA days when New York was the tele-electronic mecca, is wonderfully entertaining. Like most of Bester's work, it rushes forward at a breakneck pace, and if the finale is somewhat anticlimactic, well, you barely notice it in the frenzy and dazzle of the writing. Hard to find, but well worth it.
