It explains how smells, behavior, adaptive instincts, hormones, genes, and so on affect our sex lives. ( )About: Pincott covers the science underlying why humans do what they do when it comes to love, lust, attraction and rejection. Smells, hormones, pheromones, body language and symmetry all play key rolls when it comes to attracting, repelling and sexing up mates. Things I Thought Were Interesting: * 50% of women speed daters take just 3 seconds to decide if they like a guy * Men prefer big pupils in a woman * The more symmetrical your face and body are, the more attractive others will find you * Good dancers are good in bed * Revealing less is more on a first date * Semen can make women less depressed * Blue-eyed men prefer blue-eyed women * We subconsciously "sniff" potential mates. If we don't like the scent, we move on * The scent of pumpkin pie and lavender resulted in a 40% increase in penile blood flow according to one study * A vegetarian diet makes semen smell better * Deep voiced men have more kids * Women prefer tall guys, 6 feet tall is ideal * Taller guys have bigger penises Pros: Interesting and well-written with some very funny lines and puns. Sources cited Cons: Intersperses anecdotes of her friends, I would have preferred she stick to the science. Purple print is hard to read. Conclusion would have been nice Best read in small doses, as it really is just a summary of studies organized by topic (the author states it is a "browser's" book, and one should read only what they find interesting) no reviews | add a review
