Not to bad, they are getting a bit better, and they are starting to bleed together now, so that is always a good thing, instead of having a single individual book and they just seem alike. The next is the last out, hopefully its ok. ( )

Review by Karen Simpson Nikakis:

This is a story for readers who like their gods with attitude. Zeus is a nasty piece of work whose main pleasure, or so it seems, over the eternity of his existence, is revenge. Noir and Azura are equally unpleasant and in the opposing camp, plotting to seize Zeus’s power. The pawns in the power play are a host of minor gods and demons, that are snatched, coerced, captured and suborned back and forth between the warring parties.
Throw into the mix the handsome god Cratus/Jericho, whose refusal of Zeus’s command to continue mindlessly killing condemns him to eternal damnation, a young and beautiful dream-hunter whose selfless love offers him salvation, and wise-cracking minions of both sides.
The quest is to win Cratus/Jericho to the ‘good’ side, for as the young dream-hunter says, if they don’t, they are screwed. The struggle is a heady blend of the ancient and modern, flavored with the tenderness of new love, the spice of sex and a garnish of dry humor that all makes for an enjoyable read.

We are the Dolophoni. Diligent. Vigilant. Fierce and inescapable. Servants of the Furies, we are the right hand of justice and no one stands before us.

The son of Warcraft and Hate, Cratus spent eternity battling for the ancient gods who birthed him. He was death to any who crossed him. Until the day he laid down his arms and was banished into exile.

Now an ancient enemy has been unleashed and our dreams are his chosen battlefield. The only hope we have is the one god who swears he will never fight again.

As a Dream-Hunter, Delphine has spent eternity protecting mankind from the predators who prey on our unconscious state. But now that her allies have been turned, she knows in order to survive, the Dream-Hunters need a new leader. Someone who can train them to fight their new enemies. Cratus is her only hope. But she is a bitter reminder of why he chose to lay down his arms.

Time is running out and if she can't win him to her cause, mankind will be slaughtered and the world we know will soon cease to exist.

I think "Dream Warrior" is the first one of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dream Hunter offshoot series that I really really liked. It wasn't the heroine who sucked me in this time, it was Cratus/Jericho all the way. His hardcore attitude for everyone but his gal just made me say, "Awww" and melt a little.

She's a Dream Hunter who determined to look for the best in others. He's the son of War and Hate who has been punished for centuries for showing mercy to a child. She's determined to get him to help the trapped Olympians. As far as he's concerned, the only good Olympian is a dead one as none of them lifted a hand to help him. I'm guessing we might have some good conflict here!!

I enjoyed watching Delphine and Jericho's relationship unfold. I found the pace and reasoning much more believable than others in this series. I loved the banter between Jericho and, well...just about everybody. That he was willing to give Delphine the time she needed (which, granted, wasn't much!) when he had been 'without' for so long caused another one of those "Awww" moments for me. And the icing on the cake was getting glimpses of the Dark Hunter crew once they lent their assistance to the cause.

Hot and another keeper for me. Oh, and the cover guy? Yum! ( )

Dream Warrior, the latest of the Sherrilyn Kenyon novels and the sequel to One Silent Night is the most recent book set in the Dark-Hunter world. It is also the third in the Dream-Hunter series. Both the Dark-Hunter and Dream-Hunter books are getting intertwined extensively. Previously, it was easily possible to read the books in any order and not get too confused. Now, half of the characters have been introduced in previous books and the events certainly have been.

In Dream Warrior, we meet Jericho who is the fallen God Cratus, son of Warcraft and Hate. Jericho has a score to settle with Zeus, however Delphine a Dream-Hunter has come into Jericho’s life in order to help the Olympians. Jericho and Delphine soon develop a close bond that will be the key to their survival as the battle for their lives begins.

We see old friends and enemies from previous books in both series. Questions are answered, while at the same time more questions are asked. Like always, Kenyon creates a vivid world that blends the Modern Age with Greek/Roman Mythology. To truly understand the complex relationships in this world, I would advise readers that are new to this series to begin with either Dream Hunter, the first of the Dream-Hunter books, or Fantasy Lover, the first book in the Dark-Hunter series. Delphine paused to get her bearings as she looked around the old buildings with iron-work balconies or elaborate wood trim, many of which had boards over their windows.
