I love Gary Larson's The Far Side so much. I got this from the thrift store, and I'm pretty sure I'd already seen all of these (although there were some comics I didn't remember seeing before). These are classics for a reason. I wonder, if I were to walk past all the faculty office doors at my school, how many would have a TFS comic taped to it. Probably a lot, in the sciences. ( )

I used to be a great Gary Larson fan. Years ago, I followed his cartoons in The Washington Post. In that newspaper, I now only read the cartoon "Pearls Before Swine" by Stephan Pastis.

However, I recently found this Gary Larson book at The Book Thing of Baltimore. I grabbed it for my Little Free Library, but I also decided to read it before releasing it.

I was greatly disappointed. Is it that I didn't appreciate this brand of humor any more, or more that I didn't understand so many of the cartoons? I'm not sure which it was, but, in this 95-page book, I only laughed out loud at three of the entire collection of cartoons. *sigh* ( )

Gary Larson's comics continue to humor and charm me! ( )

I remember liking the Far Side, but these comics are mostly groan-worthy, not laugh-out-loud funny. ( )

The most hilarious book by Gary Larson. Jokes galore. I find that I do understand most of the pictures and text in the book except for one or two few. ( )
