Went from authentic knowledge and to much cussing to old man james bond. Do you remember when Steven Seagal was cool then made the same movie over and over. I really like Mr marcinko's books and am a huge fan. They have gone some kind of crappy mainstream. Skip this book with a vengence. ( )I've been a Marcinko fan since the original Rogue Warrior, but got a bit disillusioned there for a while when his books became (to me) a bit formulaic. (Pease don't "take me out" for that comment, Dick.) On the bright side, if you liked the original Rogue Warrior, Dictator's Ransom comes closer to the same level of action and enjoyment that Marcinko's earliest books had. Way to go, Mr. M! I'm back in your avid reader section once again with this very good work. (Phew - now I won't have to be looking over my shoulder each day any longer. :) no reviews | add a review

Is Kim Jong-il really a fanatical fan of Dick Marcinko, the Rogue Warrior? Has the terrifying tyrant actually read every one of Marcinko's many New York Times bestsellers?
One thing is certain: the Rogue Warrior wants nothing to do with the brutal despot. When, in Dictator's Ransom, "the loathsome dwarf"--as George W. Bush derided him--invites Marcinko to the Hermit Kingdom, the Rogue Warrior instantly declines...prompting the CIA to RSVP on his behalf. Marcinko is to track down four covert nuclear warheads secreted in the Supreme Leader's palace.
More than just a thriller, Dictator's Ransom is a novel of electrifying energy and wicked wit.
