It was good also to hear more about their faith which doesn't come out as clearly in the show. It was a enjoyable fast read. A very different portrayal from the one we see on Jon & Kate Plus 8. Kate uses very biblical language throughout this book and constantly acknowledges the sovereignty of God. She also speaks clearly and strongly about what 'selective reduction' means using words like 'kill' and 'stopping a human heart'. This book also shows Kate praising and loving her husband on almost every page. It makes for a sad contrast to what we now see on TLC. I can't help but wonder what happened and pray that both Jon & Kate would reread their own book to remind themselves how they once selflessly loved each other so they and begin again. This book is exactly what you would expect. The writing's mediocre, but it provides lots of interesting details about the Gosselin family. Fans of the show Jon & Kate Plus 8 will enjoy it. One thing to note is that Kate Gosselin is devoutly religious and it comes through in this book. I have been anxious to read this book for awhile. I love the show Jon and Kate Plus 8 even though I don't get a chance to watch it very often. Kate is definately forthcoming and honest in her story of having twins and sextuplets in three years time. My eyes were opened to the physical struggles as well as the financial and emotional struggles Kate and Jon shared. Kate has a strong faith in the Lord and that is shown on nearly every page of this book. Without that, I am sure she would have crumbled. I appreciated how all the chapters began with a specific Bible verse that Kate related to. The book was also sprinkled with photos which gave a glimpse into their story as well. This was an amazing book and should be read by every Christian Mom. It made me realize I don't have it so bad with 3 kids. Geesh! Jon and Kate had a real test of their faith in God, their faith in their marriage and their strength. I look at them in a whole new light after reading this book. I am jealous of how strongly Kate put her faith and trust in God and just relied on Him to bring them through. I could learn a lot from her! I know I will be referring back to this book again and again during my parenting years! You can also find out more about the Gosselins at www.sixgosselins.com no reviews | add a review

In any case, the book is an easy read, and a somewhat interesting story. But not the book to read to answer questions like did Kate and her family have some sort of falling out? and What's the whole aunt Jody mess about? (
