However, it will frustrate some readers for two reasons. The first is that the plot draws heavily on the concept of the Season 1 Episode, "The Naked Time" complete with Sulu brandishing a sword. The second is one that plagues many novels that are loosely based on a movie or television series and that is continuity of content. Having just recently read The Vulcan Academy Murders, it is clear that the author was not familiar with a previous visit to Vulcan by the crew of the Enterprise. If the reader can get past these distractions they should find a pleasant story to pass the time. no reviews | add a review
