While for me at least this book got off to a slow start it picks up in the middle and redeems itself in the end. I really enjoyed this trilogy and look forward to starting on her next trilogy soon ( )

Another steamy read from this author. How could you not love these Campbell men. Duncan is the typical alpha male and is humanized by his love for Jeannie. The sex scenes are abundant and wicked in these novels and the author truly does do justice to the highlander romance theme. ( )

My Review:
This book grabbed me from the very first. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the book came together, and how the author used the characters past so well.

Ms. McCarty not only describes settings so well that you can really fell like your there, she can pull your heartstrings from the hero and the heroine's perspective. She doesn't just push two characters together and say their in love. You quite literally couldn't imagine this characters without each other by the time she's done with you.

This is an excellent book, that deserves reading and praise. Even the author's note at the end of the book was engrossing. ( )
