A hit mindig Istennel foglalkozik. Ez az a jellemzo, ami megkulonbozteti az intelektualis teologiatol. A hi elszenvedi - "mintha latna a lathatatlant"(Zsid. This was the densest and hardest summer book I read, and I learned a great deal from it. Pink wonderfully explains some difficult but crucial doctrines (like predestination, election, salvation, the wrath of God), and I especially appreciated how Pink addressed common objections to such doctrines from a biblical standpoint. I'll have to re-read some or all of it down the road to really get more out of it. I also blogged on one of my favourite chapters: The Sovereignty of God and Prayer. Part I here (http://jvpearce.blogspot.com/2008/07/...) and Part II here (http://jvpearce.blogspot.com/2008/07/...). I read Lorraine Boetner's Reformed Doctrine of Predestination in high school and thought it was the best until I was introduced to The Sovereignty of God some years later. All of the major topics that this subject brings to the mind of a serious Bible student are addressed by Pink. A copy should be in everyone's library. The theology is advanced and wonderfully presented, but it is far from dry, mainly because of Pink's enthusiasm. This may not be good for new Christians who are still on the milk of the Word, but it is something to strive for as we move forward in our understanding in the God's glory of awesome power. (
