... I'm going to recommend an author and three of his books- David Martin, and the books are Tap, Tap, Lie to Me and Cul-de-sac. These are horrific comedies as black as obsidian, and not for the squeamish.
TPBM will recommend something else to read during October.
Edited- Darn! L ... ... horror novel Tap, Tap is worth reading, and his psycho thrillers are brilliant and gruesome gems, Lie to Me and Cul de Sac. Not for the easily offended.
Et aviez-vous lu Cul-de-sac (série noire gallimard) qui est son premier roman qui se passe en Australie, qui n'a rien à voir effectivement avec ce que j'ai pu lire de lui ensuite. Looking forward to it!
(Edited to attempt a touchstone fix.) I'm getting Cul-de-sac for August -- I was surprised. There weren't many I was interested in this month either, but Cul-de-sac should be interesting, if it lives up to the praise Watterson (of Calvin and Hobbes fame) gave it.
(edited to fix touchstone) I got Cul de Sac which was the one I wanted most because I've been enjoying it in the newspaper (although I'd have taken Zoe's Tale quite happily).
