It was revised in the wake of 9/11, and there is far less humor, and far more murk in the stories as a result. It's still good, and wonderful to look at, and has entertaining and insightful extra bits of commentary and story. But it's not as good as the previous collections have been. ( )The final Hellboy volume is the weakest of them, so far. It is split into two longer stories. In the first, Hellboy has some submarine work to do, as a seawitch tries to get some mermaids to given him a direct infusion of iron via his cranium. The second takes him to Africa to deal with a witch doctor. A little more is seen about his background, as well. http://graphicsf.blogspot.com/2007/02... Felt less cohesive than previous collections. Still, a great character and incomparable artwork and coloring. Yay Hellboy! Hellblazer challenges my sense of right and wrong. Hellboy makes me cheer and laugh as he beats up supernatural villains. Great escapism with gorgeous (as always) artwork. no reviews | add a review
