The language is very nice, but it's extremely short and it would have been much more effective to read the actual speeches given by the characters, rather than vague summaries of them. Basically, Daniel Webster makes this awesome speech about humanity that melts the hearts of the damned but . . . okay, what exactly did he say? Kind of disappointing. I ended up feeling like the Devil got robbed! Apparently there is a play version which I am very curious to read. I do love the idea here, I just feel that the story was too short for its own good.
