Text on back cover:
ある海辺の村で犬夜叉たちが出会った半妖の少女!!しかし犬夜叉は・・・より強い結界を斬れるようになるため、彼女の血を鉄砕牙に吸わせねばならず!?

The text on the back cover sums up the main points of this book's stories nicely.
They discover what Musou is (continued story from the previous volume) and this takes up about half of the book. In the other half of the book, Inuyasha & co meet the hanyou girl Shiori. Shiori's story ends at the end of this book, so it doesn't have a cliffhanger. Shiori's story has some nice elements in relation to Inuyasha's life story.
I like this volume better than the preceding volume, because the Musou-story has gotten more interesting and the Shiori-story was interesting because it gives more information on demons and humans in the Inuyasha-world.
