Misunderstandings abound in this tale of Amelia Bedelia at the science fair. I believe students will laugh out loud at the funny things Amelia thinks based on misunderstandings with words. All ends well when the mad (angry) scientist regains his wig and Amelia Bedelia the chemist (cook) produces a lemon meringue pie.

Amelia Bedelia believes she has been promoted to rocket scientist- just in time for the school science fair. She creates havoc, but inspires a scientist and wins everyone's favor with her chemistry- that is, her lemon merengue pie! ( )
