Full of zombies and skeletons that rise up from the dead in protest, a neat read that provides readers with a wealth of vocabulary 'I smelled teh sourness of the sewer and the sweet whiff of death' ( )

Barnaby Grimes is a tick tock boy--he delivers messages by running from rooftop to rooftop in Victorian London. This way of transport is much safer when gangs roam the street. And other things besides gangs are roaming there as well. Kids will like the spunky and capable Barnaby, the fast pace, and story loaded with zombies and other monsters. The language is a little archaic (but appropriate to the time period) which may put off some readers. ( )
