Here is the backstory to this pseudo-novel: A Bartender who worked at the infamous studio 54 during the 70's told some Hot tales about the celeb's that attended the club--It is so much fun, looking behind the thin veils of the characters, to find their true identies...they are all here..LIZA, HALSTON, JAGGER....filled with sex scenes and hot gossip, this was truly a fun read for it's time. This is a really frightful book - full of sex and innuendo and cheap thrills - yet it is compulsively readable and the standard of writing, while far from high, is better than one usually finds in bonk-busters like these. Despite the vapidity of the subject matter, The Club contains some characters and situations that have stayed with me vividly over the last nearly 30 years. ( )
