Sick Puppy / Skin Tight

I have had Carl Hiaason on my 'to read' list for quite a while - many people recommend him if you like John D MacDonald. Judging by this, he certainly covers a similar area (adventure/crime, Florida) in a similar style, though perhaps the quality of the writing is not quite as good.

Just one warning about this omnibus - my copy has 32 pages of Skin Tight inserted into Sick Puppy from page 215. Unfortunately, those pages of Sick Puppy are missing completely.

I never would have read any Hiaasen if it weren't for those nifty quotes you see on the covers of books, by other authors or critics, about how great the book you're holding is. I saw Hiaasen's name on the cover of one or two Christopher Moore books, and decided to give him a try.
