I really enjoyed this retelling of Rapunzel. The illustrations were vibrant and beautiful. I especially liked the African setting and seeing that represented in the illustrations. The only reason I gave this four stars instead of five is because I would have liked to see what happened to the evil sorceress. ( )

A family have been granted child and the mom was ill so she needed specific things to keep her alive in return for their child. A prince seen the child later and climbs up her long hair, they get married, and she gets pregnant. The prince goes blind when he falls out of the castle and crawl around for years, when Rapunzel find him she cried tears in his eyes and he can see to live with his family. ( )

This book was a good read, however, the story was weird to me. The fact Rapunzel gets pregnant in the story is strange. The fairytale is just told differently from the one I know. I enjoyed the read. I just had a hard time comprehending the events that happened in the story. ( )

This version of Rapunzel was really cute. I loved every aspect of this story just as I do for any piece of work written by Isadora. It truly touched my heart that Rapunzel and the prince were reunited at the end and the prince gained his vision back. Overall, I loved this story. Great read! ( )
