Alan Dean Foster gives explains why misery and suffering exists. It is the fault of the Interlopers, beings from another dimension who exist by feeding off misery and evil itself. The main character drinks a solution that allows him to see these creatures, and the story takes off. The story line is fast-paced and will keep you turning page after page. ( )
