I'm sorry you didn't enjoy Peter Pan. I'll admit I haven't read it, but the theatre department at my university recently performed it and it was delightful. 525. Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie - juvenile fiction; several people were appalled that I had never read this one, but now that I have done so, I think I can truthfully say it ... #255: That one looks very good. I am adding it to the BlackHole.

*ThrowsPeter Pan and Ronald Dahl on my TBR pile* I love, love, love the original Peter Pan! It's hilarious, and Tinkerbell is a potty-mouthed jerk, it's really quite fantastic. Very different from the Disney version, with more subtle humor and subtext. Did I mention I love it? :) ... Cook

Maybe I should give it a shot :) Just finished Peter Pan, which will now find it's home on Charlie's bookshelf. Can't believe I'd never read this one before. Wonderfully written, of course. 69. Peter Pan by J. M. Barrie
Like most people, I know the story but I'd never read the book or the play. It certainly was worth it. It has a humourous style which is much like Alice in Wonderland.

This morning I read Eagle Island, Wreck and the classic Peter Pan. I've also started The Looking Glass Wars! Peter Pan and Captain Hook ... search, I can't find evidence for this book anywhere!
The copy I read was very old (Peter and Wendy as opposed to Peter Pan type era), so it could have been renamed/gone out of print and I have no idea who wrote it. Will start this evening The Last Crossing #44 - I'm loving Peter Pan but it's different than I expected. I remember the play/movie being cartoonish in the "fight" scenes.
