... yet more family members and back-stories. A fast inconsequential read, I will be looking for the sequel.
Discarded Nightlife, Rob Thurman, after a hundred pages or so. Characters were interesting concepts terribly executed. Not worth the time I wasted. For a much more stylish version ... 30. Nightlife - By Rob Thurman - Very interesting, took me a little while to get into but then it drew me in and I had difficulties putting it down. Alot of action and the love of brothers tells this tale of Grendels (aka Auphe), A vampire, A human and a puck as well as a few others in there. ... ... Danus. Even a hot steamy scene...Awesome, however left me hanging waiting for the next one to come out.
Off to Read Nightlife by Rob Thurman. sorry I haven't gotten back sooner been busy reading and stuff, some of my favorite books our fantasy/romance- Nightlife by Rob Thurman a not so well recognized book about two half brothers and there life in a supernatural world that most people ignore. Niko is the self contained older brother ... ... me.
I thought the writing and storytelling was choppy, and boring in places. Didn't think much of the characters.
24. Nightlife by Rob Thurman, Completed 3/4/09, Stars: 3.75
I made the rating up. It is better than 3.5 , but not quite a 4.0

It is a first book and the start ...
I finished Nightlife by Rob Thurman. I enjoyed it and will keep reading the other books in the series. It did have some issues, but pretty minor and the major one the author corrected.
I posted a review for those interested.
I am now reading SF, but will get back to Cal and Niko soon.

I finished Nightlife by Rob Thurman, and enjoyed it. I am now reading
sTori Telling by Tori Spelling. Light and Fluffy memoir.
I am reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman, first book in the Cal Leandros series. I am enjoying it. ... The three strands of the story (Stones, Mansons, Anger) didn't really integrate well. Still mulling.
I am now reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman, first in the Cal Leandros series.
Like Murakami, not a fan of The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle too long, and too bland.

I am now reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman, first in the Cal Leandros series. ... Stepchild by Jaye Wells
19. Blue Diablo by Ann Aguirre
20. Magic in the Blood by Devon Monk
21. Nightlife by Rob Thurman
22. Skin Trade by Laurell K. Hamilton
23. Moonshine by Rob Thurman
24. Retribution by Jeanne C. Stein
25. The Nymphos of Rock ... ... the most depressing book I've read since God don't like ugly and She's come undone. Gah. I'm almost finished with Nightlife and I'm half way thru Ender's Game, which is excellent. Rob Thurman's Nightlife which is sounds a bit like supernatural tv show, but I am only a little way in ! Rob Thurman, the author of Nightlife, Moonshine and Madhouse. Very surprised when I went to her website. Hi, I'm new to this group. I'm reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman, rererererereading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, and Dragon Fire by Anne McCaffrey and Todd McCaffrey. And my birthday is May 26.
I finally finished up the dark urban fantasy Nightlife (A-/B+). ... Palmer series by Karen Chance, starting with Touch the Dark, Rob Thurman's Cal Leandros series starting with Nightlife, then I adore Wen Spencer's series about Tinker and Wolf Who Rules as well as her Ukiah Oregon series starting with Alien Taste. Those are just a few :) ... by Michael Carroll (YA)
Hood by Stephen Lawhead
Terrier: The Legend of Beka Cooper by Tamora Pierce (YA)
Nightlife by Rob Thurman
Fables vol.1-8 by Bill Willingham (Graphic Novels) ... who return to his profession, and gets involved in murder and organized crime. I think it is the first in a series.
Nightlife by Rob Thurman is about a half-blood who is running from his supernatural father who wants to use him for nefarious purposes. There is a sequel I haven't read.
... ... best, the second is a bit preachy and has its pretentious passages, and I haven't read the third yet.
Rob Thurman - Nightlife, and its sequel Moonshine. I've only read the first one.
Really good Urban fantasy, but not so much along the lines of what you've mentioned:
Nina Kiriki ... I finished Summon the Keeper by Tanya Huff and Another Fine Myth by Robert Asprin. I've started reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman ... hem?!
Aragorn Lord of the Rings
-Dark, handsome, mysterious, and good with a sword. What else do you need?
Caliban Nightlife
-A brooding, reluctant hero...who happens to be awesome.
Jon Snow A Song of Ice and Fire
-Ah! Brave, beautiful...he's got it all.
Richard Rahl Wiz ... I'm reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman. I picked it up at a library sale for 25 cents. It was a great deal. It's about a guy who's half demon...and yeah. It's really funny. I find myself giggling on almost every page. Even when some of the characters are almost dying. It's quite an odd writing ... #69: Moonshine by Rob Thurman
I loved Nightlife, the first book in this series, and I enjoyed the sequel just as much. Cal, the main character, has a distinctive voice, and that's the main reason I like these books. In fact, all the characters are well-drawn. And even though I don't normally ...
