... Women, Fire, and Dangerous Things right now, actually. It's a tad technical, and I probably should have started with Metaphors We Live By instead, but I'm enjoying it anyway... slowly.

I believe that Metaphors We Live By is fairly outdated. It was written just as George Lakoff and Mark Johnson began studying conceptual metaphors, and it spends a lot of time on ideas which didn't pan out. A better place to start is Lakoff's article Katya0133 in I Survived the Great Vowel Shift : Women, fire, and dangerous things (Feb 9, 2009, 12:37pm)

Oh, I've added Metaphors We Live By to my "to read" list, because it sounded interesting. What did you think of it?
