But I have read The Thief. I haven't read Trickster's Choice but I have read The Thief Lord oh Richard..given your Fan Club..i can weigh in on Cornelia Funke...i likeThe Thief Lord...read Inkheart partially..i wanted to like it for it's "young girl loves books" aspect...but...if you want to read a Biblio/Creepy book...try The Ink Drinker by Eric Sanvoisin...only one available at ... I'll probably concentrate more on Rose Daughter, but I could be reading any number of books by tomorrow. I'm reading The Thief Lord. But I'll probably finish that soon. Then I'll probably try to finish the numerous other books I've started but failed to finish reading. Ah, I didn't realize Funke was German; I've read her The Thief Lord. Of course, I've read Bros. Grimm; I forgot them. The others...sadly, no beyond a couple of Rilke poems in German class. The Theif Lord I picked up Sea of Monsters, The Thief Lord, and Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians today at the library. My brother also brought me Missy's copy of The Dragon of Trelian. ... may not come as a complete surprise, the road getting there is entertaining and engrossing. Very highly recommended.

The Thief Lord, a young adult book by Cornelia Funke, was most enjoyable. I'm reminded of it because she is going to be in town next month to discuss it, following a showing of the film.

Let's see, let me try to remember which book I read while sick. Ah, yes, it was The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. A young adult novel, with a fast moving plot. So, yes, it did help, pulled me into a different world, and helped keep my mind off of my ... Completed book #10 The Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke. One of the benefits (ok, the only benefit) of a horrible sinus infection; getting to lay on the couch and read all day. This books was loads of fun! ... like Wicked either. My daughter enjoyed all of the Little House books, Because of Winn Dixie, The Thief Lord, and currently is enjoying the Dear, America series. She also liked the Mary Poppins books (I think there are 6 but we only have 3).

I agree that the narrator did a great job with the voices. >5 Foggidawn: I just finished listening to The Thief Lord a couple of weeks ago and really enjoyed it (especially the voice the reader used for Riccio (sp?), hehe). How did you like it? ... I loved all of Voigt's books when I was a YA, so I pick them up and reread them now and again.

... I would second the recommendation for Funke's The Thief Lord and would also highly recommend Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials Trilogy beginning with the Golden Compass. It's extremely well done. I also thought Coraline was a good audio. He might enjoyThe Series of Unfortunate Events on audio. I enjoyed Thief Lord and Inkspell by Cornelia Funke. not sabriel or eragon both are very fantasy-ish.inkheart)though chilidish, is great. so is the thief lord. all of the wizard of oz books are good. ... slightly younger readers you could also try Cornelia Funke's Dragon Rider, just as good. Be careful with the earlier The Thief Lord though. In the UK it had a different translator and it really made a difference. ... We all like to be read to sometimes. But the best movie based on a children's book that I've seen lately was The Thief Lord. I thought the book was terrific and the movie was very faithful to it. ... "horribly long." I have listened to some wonderful YA and Juveniles audios like: His Dark Materials trilogyby Pullman, The Thief Lord by Funke, Tale of Despereaux by DiCamillo and The City of Ember and its sequel by Jeanne Duprau. All of these I highly recommend (my children are in ... ... adult and juvenile audio books (and my kids are in their 20's, so I buy these for ME): His Dark Materials by Pullman, Thief Lord by Cornelia Funke and City of Ember by Jeanne Duprau. I LOVED Inkheart and really enjoyed Thief Lord also...you have just reminded me to go back and take a look at Inkspell...heard it was a great read as well from some of my younger friends.
