#79 The Thief Lord - Cornelia Funke This is a delightful children's adventure set in Venice. Some plot elements seem to be taken from Ray Bradbury's "Something Wicked This Way Comes", but this story is quite different. There is nothing too deep here, but it is a good fun read.

I finished The Thief Lord today and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'll probably concentrate more on Rose Daughter, but I could be reading any number of books by tomorrow.

I'm reading The Thief Lord. But I'll probably finish that soon. Then I'll probably try to finish the numerous other books I've started but failed to finish reading.

Ah, I didn't realize Funke was German; I've read her The Thief Lord. Of course, I've read Bros. Grimm; I forgot them. The others...sadly, no beyond a couple of Rilke poems in German class.

The Theif Lord

I picked up Sea of Monsters, The Thief Lord, and Alcatraz versus the Evil Librarians today at the library. My brother also brought me Missy's copy of The Dragon of Trelian.
