Awwww! In this book, Paul Slater's come up with another plan to get Suze for his own - not killing Jesse, but rather saving him from ever dying in the first place, so Suze will never meet his ghost. Will Suze give up ever knowing Jesse in order to give him another chance at life, or will she stop Paul and allow Jesse to be murdered? An interesting (but not too heavy-handed) take on the question of what it really means to love someone. The mechanics of time travel and changing things in the past are not on particularly solid metaphysical ground; a lot of what should be logical snags in the process are glossed over in the service of telling the story. I think because I was expecting the story to follow certain rules, I was expecting it to end very differently than it actually did. The ending as is, though, works just as well if you're willing to accept the slightly bent logic, which... it's a fluffy teen paranormal romance. Some things, you just have to take without quibbling. Overall, the book is right at the level of the best of this series: fun, exciting, fast-paced, and very sweet.
The best book in the Mediator Series and one of Meg Cabot's best books period. The perfect ending to a great series. This book is definetly one of my favorites of the Mediator Series. Only Meg Cabot can make a crush on a ghost not totally weird. This book is a fantastic end to a spectacular series. Highly recommended. This is the best of the Mediator series, if you haven't started reading this you are surely missing out in all the adventure This definitely has a twist in the tale. A very satisfying one. I like Suze - despite her teenage obsessions (clothes, hot guys, etc.) she makes good choices and does the right thing. The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot is about a girl that can see ghosts. This becomes a little tricky when she moves from New York to California only to find a gorgeous ghost is already living in her bedroom. Not only does Suze have to deal with Jesse there is another ghost trying to kill people at her school. I loved these books, Suze was so down to earth and Jesse was so crushable. A perfect ending to the series! Meg Cabot was wonderful and tied everything together! I only wish there would be more! I laughed, I cried, and I loved this book! I am recommending it to many others! I think this whole series is great ! If you haven't read them, then you should! Young Adult book, very interesting story line. Had to read all of the books one after another. Young girl that has the ability to see ghosts. She actually shares her room with one. This story follows this relationship along a rollercoaster of emotions and problems. Only to find that love with prevail. I absolutely loved this book! I liked the whole series! I really like what happened in the end, and I wish there were going to be more books but then more bad stuff would have to happen. OMG THE BEST OF THEM ALL!!!! Awwww! In an attempt to keep Paul from exorcising Jesse, Suze has agreed to weekly mediator lessons. But, when Paul begins talking about "saving" Jesse Suze knows that he hasn't given up and she is determined to do anything it takes, even risk her life, to make sure her love dies so they can be together. In this story Suze is faced with a few dilemmas, not the least of which is if Jesse should be given a chance at life as Paul is so determined to do. With everyone against her, including her father and Father Dom, she refuses to ask the one person she should, Jesse himself. It is easy to understand why she would be so against the idea, knowing she could lose the love of her life. I do think that the choices she made were the right ones and that they are typical of her personality. Overall The Mediator books are a wonderfully fluffy supernatural series with some great and memorable characters. They have, and will in the future I'm sure, live up to continued multiple readings and will definitely be a permanent fixture in my library. |
