I don't know if I'd have the ovaries to say half the things that Marjane does to authority figures. ( )

Insightful, gruesome, sad, honest and hilarious. This book made me feel very depressed, but I'm glad I've read it. ( )

Had to stop reading because it was due back at the library. I will check it out again after vacation -- fascinating story about something I know nothing about and the illustrations are great. ( )

So good! I think I actually enjoyed this one more than Maus. ( )

Oh how I would like to read and enjoy graphic novels! I find my vision doesn't like them, though - I can't seem to track the story well. I blame my brother Christopher, who never wanted to share his Mad Magazines, thus forcing me to read text like "Little Women" and "Black Beauty" during my formative years.
That said, if I could read graphic novels, this would be one I would leap into. What I could read was thought provoking and fascinating. In another life, perhaps...

On the good side, I now know I have a graphic learning disability. Who knew? Explains why I get lost whereever I go... ( )
