101. The Annotated Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum - the introduction of this book was 100 pages long, giving all sorts of info about Baum, and I enjoyed learning more about ... ... up on some classic children's literature that I either have not read or it has been some time since I read. I just started The Annotated Wizard of Oz. I have seen the movie a gazillion times, but never read the book. I am starting The Annotated Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum. Lots of interesting info in it so far. ... the Wardrobe by CS Lewis Illustrated by Pauline Baynes is rather beautiful.

I was given Divided Destiny by David A Takami and bought The Annotated Wizard of Oz accidentally. I thought I was buying The Annotated Alice in Wonderland. I am entirely too quick for my own good. And Amazon makes it all so easy - "one click shopping" - diabolically easy. ... for the two is the same (The Wind in the Willows). Tellingly, the first book listed for The Annotated Alice is The Annotated Wizard of Oz (also annotated by Gardner, with a comparable ratio of annotations to text), while the first listed for Alice in Wonderland is The Wizard of Oz ...
