... of Paul Auster's work (life has pretty much interfered with my keeping up with everyone's thread) but he can, like Chuck Palahniuk, be an acquired taste. I have read The New York Trilogy - I had it in one volume - and appreciated it more for it's style rather than it's substance... I ... ... ex-boyfriends. One more book to go... and it's not out until next year. It pains me to have to wait for the end.
44) Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk - No. I love Palahniuk, but this was a piece of crap (I thought that about his last one too, so maybe he's just losing it).

Oh, and thanks for reading/reviewing Chuck Palahniuk's books. I've seen them a lot (especially his newest: Pygmy), but I've never been able to find one at my local secondhand bookstore. Haunted sounds like a keeper. 97. Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk
I received this book as an ARC, thinking that it would be fun to try out a genre that I normally would not pick up. ... ... myth. I think I slighlty preferred Let the right One but only because on the Oscar & Eli. Cannot say how it compares to pygmy though! ... the same author? I saw it in a bookstore yesterday and was torn between it and Chuck Palahniuks new novel. (Ended up buying pygmy somewhat regretting it) I finished reading Chuck Palahniuk's Pygmy and Nick Hornby's Slam.
Chuck Palahniuk and Nick Hornby are in completely different territory in terms of what they write about, but their explorations of human flaws overlap sometimes. Only difference is Hornby doesn't make you feel guilty about ... 16. Pygmy (July) ... Invention of Hugo Cabret which was first edition, first printing. Now I just bought a first edition of Chuck Palahniuk's Pygmy, since I have always wanted a first editon Palahniuk book of decent quality to be proud of.
I guess first editions are on my top priority list when buying books ... ... listening to wasn't as good in written form.
I can't bring myself to read another of his, but I will be listening to Pygmy soon.
So far this month I've read Pygmy by Chuck Palahniuk and Dogrun by Aurthor Nersesian. I started The Pearl yesterday. I love flying because I get so much reading done! 203. Pygmy - Chuck Palahniuk (256)
204. The Not So Big House - Sarah Susanka (240) #54 Pygmy By Chuck Palahniuk
I can see why there is so much talk about Pygmy. The novel is not exactly built for everyone and given its broken English narrative, pacing is heavily compromised. To some, the comprehension of the plot itself might be in the air, giving you the urge ... Hi readeron!!!
Glad you're liking Palahniuk - have read them all except the last 3 (Rant,Snuff and Pygmy - my favorite was Survivor... just love his "voice" - I've had plenty of weird looks on public transportation because I was in the midst of a particularly rich passage and I'm ... ... the writings of Chuck Palahniuk I would be irked (after being momentarily star-struck) if he messaged me saying "Read Pygmy, it's out now!" But, if I joined a group for authors to shamelessly plug themselves, I would have no reason to get upset if I saw such similar comments there. It's an ... Pygmy is on order and every other book is checked out or an audiobook. I have not read Lullaby yet either.
I didn't think Pygmy had been released yet. It is his newest one. If you can get a copy of that one, go for it, and tell me how it is! =:op
If not, go for Fight Club or Snuff. I ... ... that I can't find Choke at any of the 8 libraries that I can access?! The only ones they have is Haunted, Fight Club, Pygmy, Snuff, Rant, Stranger Than Fiction, Lullaby and Survivor.
