In the follow-up to Bloodsucking Fiends, You Suck follows our fledgling vampires as they figure out their world as the newly dead. I love Moore's casual wit and humor, and it was fun to see characters from his other works make appearances throughout the story. Again, a cute, quick read. I personally loved how this story ended and I'm excited to see that he will be continuing Tommy and Jody's story in his new book Bite Me. Brilliantly funny sequel to Blood Sucking Fiends I have such a mixed relationship with Christopher Moore's books. This one may have been better if I had read _Bloodsucking Fiends_ before it. All the same, I found this plot and characters hard to engage with and then end just seemed a little too tidy. All in all, Moore just seems to be hit or miss to me. I thought it would be funnier
As with his best work, there’s a fundamental sweetness beneath the antics. And the characters are developed with real affection. That most of them are dead is never allowed to seem sad. And for parasitical bloodsuckers, they do remarkably little harm.

"You bitch, you killed me. You suck!"
Being dead sucks. Make that being undead sucks.
Literally. Just ask Thomas C. Flood. Waking up after a fantastic night unlike anything he's ever experienced, he discovers that his girlfriend, Jody—the woman of his dreams—is a vampire. And surprise! Now he's one, too.
For some couples, the whole biting-and-blood thing would have been a deal breaker. But Tommy and Jody are in love, and they vow to work through their issues. Like how much Jody should teach Tommy about his new superpowers (and how much he needs to learn on his own). Plus there's Tommy's cute new minion, sixteen-year-old goth girl Abby Normal. (Well, someone has to run errands during daylight hours!)
Making the relationship work, however, is the least of Jody and Tommy's problems. Word has it that the vampire who nibbled on Jody wasn't supposed to be recruiting any new members into the club. Even worse, Tommy's erstwhile turkey-bowling pals are out to get him, at the urging of a blue-dyed Las Vegas call girl named (duh) Blue.
And that really sucks.

I read it. I laughed. It was a good way to fill the hour or so it took to read, but the details seemingly left my mind just as quickly afterwards. (
