Yaoi fandom has a few legendary artists, and premiere among them is Kazuma Kodaka, best know for this series, "Kizuna." Kodaka's art style noticably strengthens throughout the run of this series (10 volumes, perhaps more) about two opposites whose romance begins in junior high, whose affair begins in high school, and whose relationship weathers all conceivable tragedies and triumphs. The pleasure of his romance is the interactions of the irrepresible Enjouji, bastard son of a yakuza boss, and Ranmaru, traditional and conservative former kendo (Japanese sword) star. ( )
