It ... just finished the power of myth which i had read eons ago. yesterday i started suite francaise. this is the first time i download from the library. downloading is very convenient but in this format the tracks are 1hr long each. yikes.

I'm trying (and failing) to listen to The Power of Myth- the interviews conducted with Joseph Campbell by Bill Moyers. How can something be interesting and so dull at the same time? Mostly I suppose because ... I'm watching Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth. Some JP The Power of Myth The Hero with a Thousand Faces I had a class in mythology and a class called Buddhist Christian Dialogue that was fascinating. I also have a lot of books of criticism and comparison on fairytales The Uses of Enchantment.

I watched Joseph Cambell's The Power of Myth series on PBS about the time I was 11 or 12 and found it deeply influenced my understanding and respecting the similarities (and differences) across ... I've read a lot of his quotes and ideas in text/mythology books, and have Power of Myth and Hero with a Thousand Faces -- which can be hard to read straight through, but cool to skip back and forth to follow the threads of connected ideas from various civilzations and myth/hero stories.... it ... ... format. It definitely is easier to read in this format.
I am also reading Genesis, the companion volume to Bill Moyers's TV series by the same name. I have not seen the video of the series, but now am motivated to seek it out. This round-table discussion of the stories in the ...
