This book has 8 stories. And I was especially moved to story. That story's main character is Alex. He escaped from prison and he was chased by police. But, in actuality, he was innocent, but finally he... I think he is very pitiful. But actually, there are many cases like such situation. I can't permit real criminal. ( )

'I'll knit him a scarf.Yes.I'll knit him a scarf the same colour as his eyes...' A woman decides to present a scarf for her husband. Will her love reach his mind?
I chose 'Leonard' from this book. This story was heartful. And reminded me of the goodness to make present for someone. ( )

An American photojournalist took a picture of a girl in Africa.
The girl starved so she is only skin and bone.
He took his last photo, returns to America and his photo become famouse.

I had seen like this picture.
There were a golden eagle near the girl.
I was shocked because there are many people who starved in the world. ( )

He is a good man, so Nan who is a fruit-seller on the streets
lend him money.
After two months, a clean man in a suit stopped by her.
Who is that person...?

I thought Nan is very kind woman, but if I were her,

This book contains 8 short stories which come from around the world. All characters have various disadvantages. They live under the very difficult situations. However they live really happily.
When I finish reading this book I was impressed. Althogh maincharacters live in a poor situations, they spent good time. My favourite story is second one. I read twice, at home and English class. So that I could understand clearly. ( )
