... I thought it was very original, I had never read a southern gothic vampire tale before. After that I found Anne Rice's Blackwood Farm and didn't enjoy it at all.

... is a Mayfair descendent (through an illegitimate offspring of Uncle Julian, and has witchy powers. Once you get to Blackwood Farm and Blood Canticle (the last two vampire chronicles), it's a full-fired crossover... Quinn Blackwood is related to the Mayfairs, and Mona Mayfair comes ...
