None. A very regular lady gets caught up in smuggling people out of Paris during the early occupation. ( )3737. Paris -- Underground, by Etta Shiber in collaboration with Anne and Paul Dupre (read 28 Apr 2003) This is a 1943 book, supposedly true, of heroic efforts to save English soldiers trapped in Nazi-occupied France. It reads like a novel and reminded me of Helen MacInnes works such as I assume Above Suspicion and Assignment in Brittany (which I read in 1943 and really don't remember much) to be. One would like to know what became of all the people involved after 1943, but a Google search shows not much can be learned of them. Supposedly Etta Shiber died in 1948, but as to what became of her partner Kitty, and who Kitty really was, it is harder to determine. no reviews | add a review
