An excellent book on "the turning of the tide" in WWII. Reads more like a novel than a dry, historical account. The authors avoid the typical cold, large scale strategic overview & utilize many insightful individual accounts & reports, giving the reader a deeper appreciation of the action. I especially appreciated reports of smaller unit operations; their makeup & influence on the outcome.
One of the best books I've read on any battle. ( )
