None. MISSION EARTH 000500 Having to state at the beginning of a book that it is a satire is the same as someone telling you they're a celebrity: if they have to tell you, they really are not. This book is more of a disappointment due to the expectation set by "Battlefield Earth." I am extremely thankful that I did not invest in the other nine volumes of this ponderous "saga".
[A] paralyzingly slow-moving adventure enlivened by interludes of kinky sex, sendups of effeminate homosexuals and a disregard of conventional grammar so global as to suggest a satire on the possibility of communication through language.
