I loved this book! Robert Shannon, an American priest, suffers severely from shocking events he witnessed in France during World War I. Previously a vibrant, energetic leader and Army chaplain, Robert goes to Ireland to seek his family roots, thinking that in this he will again find his soul. Delaney does such a great job of painting the beauty and serenity of Ireland and has given such caring and hospitable Irish citizens as hosts, I find that I, too, am soothed and renewed just by reading the book. Thank you to Frank Delaney for this wonderful story of healing. ( )
